# expo-arcgis > expo-arcgis is the native ArcGIS Maps SDK (Kotlin on Android, Swift on iOS) for React Native and Expo, as Expo modules with a declarative API that mirrors the ArcGIS object model. expo-arcgis-toolkit adds the ArcGIS Maps SDK Toolkits' components. Install with `npx expo install expo-arcgis` (and `expo-arcgis-toolkit` for the Toolkit), add the packages' config plugins and run a development build: it does not run in Expo Go. A `` model goes inside a `` host (`` and `` in 3D), with layers and graphics as children; `` sets the API key. Components the Toolkit has on one platform only render nothing on the other; the API reference marks them with Platform. ## Documentation Sets - [Abridged documentation](https://mapforge.dev/llms-small.txt): a compact version of the documentation for expo-arcgis, with non-essential content removed - [Complete documentation](https://mapforge.dev/llms-full.txt): the full documentation for expo-arcgis - [Guides](https://mapforge.dev/_llms-txt/guides.txt): Getting started, concepts, the Toolkit and the platform differences. - [Samples](https://mapforge.dev/_llms-txt/samples.txt): Runnable example screens, one per capability, with their source. - [expo-arcgis API](https://mapforge.dev/_llms-txt/expo-arcgis-api.txt): The API reference of the core package. - [expo-arcgis-toolkit API](https://mapforge.dev/_llms-txt/expo-arcgis-toolkit-api.txt): The API reference of the Toolkit package. ## Notes - The complete documentation includes all content from the official documentation - The content is automatically generated from the same source as the official documentation ## Optional - [GitHub](https://github.com/alex-krassavin/expo-arcgis): The source, issues and changelogs of both packages.
