Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:153
Properties
Section titled “Properties”contentInsets?
Section titled “contentInsets?”
optionalcontentInsets?:MapViewInsets
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:166
Reserves space at the view’s edges for UI drawn over the map — a bottom sheet, a toolbar.
The map still draws full-bleed underneath; attribution and the location symbol move inside
the inset area, and setViewpoint frames content to it rather than to the whole view.
optionalgrid?:GridConfig|null
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:192
Coordinate-grid overlay (MGRS / UTM / USNG / latitude-longitude). null / omitted = none.
insetsViewpointAdjustment?
Section titled “insetsViewpointAdjustment?”
optionalinsetsViewpointAdjustment?:InsetsViewpointAdjustment
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:172
How the viewpoint reacts when contentInsets change (ArcGIS 300.1). Defaults to none,
the pre-300.1 behaviour. Use preserve-center when a sheet expands over the map and the
feature the user was looking at should stay put.
locationDisplay?
Section titled “locationDisplay?”
optionallocationDisplay?:LocationDisplay
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:176
Device-location display. When set, the view shows the device’s GPS location.
optionalmap?:MapRef|null
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:160
The map to show instead of the nearest <Map>’s: one a component hands out, such as an offline
map area from expo-arcgis-toolkit’s <OfflineMapAreas>. Without a <Map> around the view, it is
the one it shows. The <Map>’s layers and basemap stay on the <Map>’s own map.
onLocationChange?
Section titled “onLocationChange?”
optionalonLocationChange?: (event) =>void
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:190
Called on each device-location update (requires locationDisplay).
Parameters
Section titled “Parameters”nativeEvent
Section titled “nativeEvent”Returns
Section titled “Returns”void
onMapLoaded?
Section titled “onMapLoaded?”
optionalonMapLoaded?: (event) =>void
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:184
Called once the map has finished loading successfully.
Parameters
Section titled “Parameters”nativeEvent
Section titled “nativeEvent”Returns
Section titled “Returns”void
onMapLoadError?
Section titled “onMapLoadError?”
optionalonMapLoadError?: (event) =>void
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:186
Called if the map fails to load (e.g. missing or invalid API key).
Parameters
Section titled “Parameters”nativeEvent
Section titled “nativeEvent”Returns
Section titled “Returns”void
onTap?
Section titled “onTap?”
optionalonTap?: (event) =>void
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:188
Called when the user taps the map.
Parameters
Section titled “Parameters”nativeEvent
Section titled “nativeEvent”Returns
Section titled “Returns”void
style?
Section titled “style?”
optionalstyle?:StyleProp<ViewStyle>
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:154
timeExtent?
Section titled “timeExtent?”
optionaltimeExtent?: {endTime:number;startTime:number; } |null
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:182
Filters time-aware layers to this time window. Both values are epoch milliseconds (UTC).
Pass null / omit to show all time steps (no filter). Maps to GeoView.timeExtent /
MapView(timeExtent:) on both platforms.
viewpoint?
Section titled “viewpoint?”
optionalviewpoint?:Viewpoint
Defined in: packages/expo-arcgis/src/ExpoArcgis.types.ts:174
Animates the view to this viewpoint whenever the value changes (runtime camera control).
